Labour Day Parade - We won! We won!
Judges use different criteria to decide on the winner of the BEST float in the Labour Day Parade. The hard work that was put into the building of ours AND the fact that we had the largest contingent of members in the parade were certainly two of the criteria that made us the winner. Federal Budget 2010 : devoid of new ideas and ideological
The Harper government's 2010 Budget demonstrates a government that is devoid of new ideas and full of ideological cuts to the size of government masquerading as fiscal restraint. Federal budget targets public service for cuts,
PSAC will defend members, jobs, services
Even if pensions were not targeted by the government in its latest budget, the March 4 budget freezes federal departmental spending. The government announced they want to balance the budget on the backs of public service workers – a direct threat to our jobs and the services we deliver.
Our campaign on pensions was only a beginning. We now need to fight against a reduction of the public services offered to all Canadians. Continue to visit our special page on public services and pensions.
